Women’s Closing Day Results & Prize-Giving
The nine- and 18-hole golfers teamed up to play a fun 12 holes of Ambrose on Tuesday 4 November. Rather than paying an entry, everyone brought a gift for Secret Santa Cromwell. Thanks ladies for your generous contributions – Secret Santa was overwhelmed by our collection, and has thanked us on their Facebook page.
As it was Melbourne Cup day, we came into the Clubhouse resplendent in hats and eager to buy sweep tickets! We enjoyed platters and lots of laughs before the nine-hole prizegiving took place, and then the day’s winners were announced.
The Isobel Steven Trophy went to Judith Soper, Ann Lammers, Jenny Pirie and Helen Forde with a very impressive score of 22.83. Second was the team of Paula Moore, Cecilia Norman, Wendy Van Der Kroght and Sylvia Giles.
There were some very lucky punters when the Melbourne Cup winner came in – we’re looking at you Nola Naylor! Then the 18-hole prizes were presented.
Thanks to Pauline, Anne and Anne for their help in the kitchen, and to Bob and Murray for looking after the bar.
